Safety changes the plan.

Most marriage problems can be worked on with better honesty, perspective, and repair. Some situations need a different plan.

When danger is present

If the situation involves violence, coercion, stalking, threats, or serious fear, the application pauses normal communication exercises and does not push the user toward confrontation. The instruction is to protect safety first.

threats of harm or suicide used to control

physical violence

strangulation or choking

stalking or monitoring that creates fear

sexual coercion or forced sex

threats involving weapons

forced isolation

restriction of access to money, transportation, medication, or documents

harm or threats toward children or pets used as control

Do not do this

Return to We does not tell the visitor to confront their spouse just because a page asked them to. It does not encourage shared-device exercises in a coercive dynamic.

Do this

If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services. For other situations, consider domestic-violence or crisis resources and use the neutral exit path.
