Return to We is designed to be private before it is social. The product does not require an account for the first experience, and sensitive exercises are stored on the device rather than treated like public content.
Audit answers, Ledger data, Both Sides reflections, Reset reflections, and New Marriage Charter data are stored locally in your browser through IndexedDB.
Audit progress can be resumed locally on the same browser and device.
Private exercise content is not sent to third-party analytics, and private exercises do not use session replay.
You can export your Return to We data and delete locally stored Return to We data.
Clearing browser or site storage can also remove local data.
What this means in practice
Local-first storage is private by design, but it does not make the device itself secure from another person who can access it. Use a private device when that distinction matters. Return to We does not build a public social profile or a behaviorally tracked ad feed from private exercise content.
